Starting from the only photograph a father and his late father ever shared, I reconstructed a story that never had the chance to exist. By isolating the original subjects, generating new scenes, and building a cinematic narrative, the project transforms a single family memory into an imagined farewell between a father and his son.

The person behind Criterion.

I'm Vic, founder of Criterion.

I started my career as a video editor at Agencia EFE, producing visual stories and covering breaking news across the Americas. Alongside that role, I joined Event Rap, where I became Lead Designer, creating motion design and visual storytelling for artists and brands.

Working across journalism, music and commercial projects taught me that good work is shaped by more than the tools we use. It's shaped by how we think, question and choose.

That's why I created Criterion, an independent project driven by curiosity, critical thinking and human judgment in the age of AI.
